Born in the vibrant city of Toronto, Canada, the talented Soprano Opera singer has been fueled by a profound passion for music, igniting a journey marked by remarkable achievements and unforgettable performances from an early age.
Starting her professional career at the young age of 9 years old, the young soprano was highly acclaimed for having a mature voice, winning prestigious singing competitions at a young age, including a remarkable victory at a prominent voice competition in Hollywood, to enchanting audiences across the globe with her captivating voice, Janelle’s musical journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.
In 2012, Janelle ventured to Italy to participate in the Rome Opera Music Festival, marking the beginning of her international career. Her debut classical Christmas album, “The First Noel,” received widespread acclaim, leading to a successful California tour with sold-out shows at various venues.
At just twenty-one years old, Janelle has already graced stages worldwide, captivating audiences with her mesmerizing performances and earning standing ovations wherever she goes. Her recent triumph at the international Water Cube Chinese singing competition in Beijing showcased her versatility and mastery of the Mandarin language, further solidifying her reputation as a rising star in the opera world.
Summer of 2022, Janelle immersed herself in the rich musical heritage of Italy, studying and performing opera works in the picturesque region of Tuscany. Continuing her journey in Europe, Janelle was fortunate enough to perform in Paris, France in 2023. Her collaboration with the Lake County Symphony Orchestra in Chicago further showcased her prowess as a performer, highlighting her experiences with live orchestras.
Most recently, Janelle embarked on a transformative journey to Vienna, Austria, where she delved into the iconic role of Donna Anna from Mozart’s opera “Don Giovanni.” Amidst her rigorous touring and recording schedule, Janelle finished her education at the prestigious University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music, further honing her craft and enriching her musical journey.
